RISEBA - Excellent Business School

From November 2008 to March 2009, the 1,000 selected Business Schools’ deans voted to give their recommendations about the Business Schools of the Eduniversal Official Selection.

Country by country, they were asked a simple question: “Which business school(s) would you recommend to anyone wishing to study in this country?” They were expected to answer knowingly, thus voting for every country was not mandatory. And they were also requested to make a selection.
RISEBA was awarded with 3 Palmes therefore we are Exccelent Business School nationally strong and/or with continental links.

The deans have just returned their conclusions and the Eduniversal Palmes 2009 have therefore been awarded on October 26th, 2009, during the 2nd Eduniversal World Convention held in Cape Town (South Africa) from October 26th to October 28th. These unprecedented Palmes give a clear and exhaustive vision of the international and local influence of the selected Business Schools

First time in RISEBA Honarary Doctorate degree awards

On September 22 for the first time in RISEBAs 17-year history there has been Honorary Doctorate degree awards. This title was given to a business consultancy and training guru, founder of Adizes Institute (Santa Barbara, California) - Doctor Ichak Adizes.

Before the ceremony Dr Adizes held a seminar for RISEBAs students and staff. It was a great experience for everybody, as we saw a lot of enthusiastic and interested participants.

17th CEEMAN Annual Conference

Over 130 participants from 30 countries gathered in Riga, Latvia, for the 17th CEEMAN Annual Conference "Local Responses to Global Crisis", hosted by RISEBA. The conference was noted for productive and useful discussions, great networking and warm atmosphere.

The conference opened on September 24 with the Deans and Directors Meeting and the 17th CEEMAN Annual Conference was opened later that day by Danica Purg, CEEMAN President, and Boriss Kurovs, RISEBA Rector, followed by a presentation on current situation in the Baltic countries by Mr Andris Vilks, Chief Economist at SEB Bank and advisor to the Prime Minister of Latvia.

“Your Conference was a wonderful occasion: dynamic panels and provocative and rigorous speakers, - all of it providing food for thought,- combined with friendly and thriving leisure moments, such as the Gala so well conducted by Irina [Sennikova] and Danica [Purg]. All in all the conference was a great opportunity to get to know many interesting people, and certainly I have brought back a lot of new insight into crucial problems which is a contribution that one does not find in many other academic conferences.”
Dr Manuel Escudero, Special Adviser to the United Nations Global Compact, Head, PRME Secretariat and Executive Director, Research Center for the Global Compact
