VICTORIA, VOCATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOL OF RISEBA IS THE BEST VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN LATVIA

VICTORIA, vocational secondary school of RISEBA, gained recognition as the best school in vocational school group and took the tenth place in Latvian school rating 2011 according to the results of centralized exams among 112 specialised schools. The school rating 2011 was compiled by Draudzigais aicinajums foundation by estimation of pupils’ results for centralized exams.

The aim of the school rating of Draudzigais aicinajums foundation is to compile an unprejudiced evaluation of secondary schools according to the results of centralized exams. The participants of the rating are all schools offering secondary education. The data base for the rating is the summary of centralized exams organized by the State Education Content Centre of the Ministry of Education and Science passed by school students in one school year. The school rating is compiled by the Draudzigais aicinajums foundation in cooperation with Nordea bank and Airport LLC.

“That’s a really sincere pleasure for all of us, both pupils and teachers, as the pupils of VICTORIA were passing centralized exams for the first time in the history of the school, and we have paid much attention to both organizational issues of the exams and to preparation of pupils. Our pupils were preparing to the exams really carefully, and they were glad to feel and to evaluate our achievement when we were receiving our first collective award standing on the stage of the Opera House”, admits Jelena Pominova, the headmaster of VICTORIA school.
