RISEBA AWARDS THE WINNER OF THE NATIONAL BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION

To stimulate interest of young people in innovative entrepreneurship and to motivate school students to implement their business ideas and to try their hands and skills in business, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in cooperation with Firma L4 LLC and Konsorts LLC organized National business plan competition for 10-12 grade school students.

84 students from 37 Latvian secondary schools have participated in the competition. Competent jury has shortlisted 19 business projects for the 2nd round of the competition. Ilmars Kreituss, the Vice-rector of RISEBA, has joined the jury for estimation of works selected for the final round. We are glad to announce that the list of finalists included a 3rd year student of RISEBA professional secondary school Victoria Ksenija Bobrovska with her project “SIA OnlineGuide”.

The final step of the competition took place on 19 December 2011 at Maritim Park Hotel where five awarded finalists presented their business plans.

As our school has always been supporting innovative ideas and wishes of young people to implement them, RISEBA was the sponsor of the first prize of the competition.

Congratulations to the winner – 12B grade student of Valka high school KRISTAPS SULA!

The winner will have a chance to use the prize – 300 lats discount for studies choosing any RISEBA undergraduate study program.
