RISEBA University joins the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 28 May a Memorandum of Cooperation on attracting foreign students was signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Higher Education Export Association, which member is RISEBA.

The Memorandum of Cooperation is an essential instrument to promote joint activities since it displays a mutual commitment to ensuring that the best foreign students travel to Latvia to study in higher education institutions accredited in this country.

“It is a great pleasure that this Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will give a significant advantage to RISEBA as a member of the association – faster and more efficient processing of foreign students’ applications, which is one of the most critical factors in the admissions process. It is also important to mention that RISEBA will further strengthen the admission requirements that should have a positive effect on both the quality of the study process and the reputation of our higher education institution abroad,” said Polina Naidenko, the Head of External Relations Division of RISEBA University.

Selection of potential entrants according to high-quality criteria is vital for higher education institutions when attracting foreign students, therefore the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is highly appreciated.

The need for a cooperation memorandum was mainly proven by the rapidly increasing number of applications for student visas received at the Embassy of Latvia in India, the education export is one of Latvia’s priority lines of action in India in recent years. As well a large number of youngsters from other countries want to study in Latvia, and it is important to ensure the fastest and most qualitative preparation of documents.

The members of the Higher Education Export Association are 12 higher education institutions in Latvia.
