RISEBA receives the prestigious Sustainability Index Gold Award for the first time
This year, on June 13, at the Sustainability Index Award Ceremony, RISEBA received the gold category award for the first time.
In recent years, RISEBA had received a number of bronze and silver awards, but this didn’t stop the university from continuing to improve. This year receiving the gold category award proves that it has been a success. Such an assessment was made possible by the university’s well-considered strategy for improving the environment and working conditions, aiming for a greener and safer university for both staff and students. This achievement is a stepping stone and an extra motivation for the university’s employees and students to set an example, showing that everyone can take care of environmental resources in their daily lives. RISEBA is delighted with this assessment, however, it is also aware that the work cannot stop with this achievement and that it has to continue focusing on carrying out its strategy.
The gold category is awarded to companies that demonstrate openness and a tendency to expand and adjust their risk management processes, including the most important aspects of corporate responsibility. This award confirms RISEBA's understanding of responsible and forward-looking business and its important role in the development of the business environment.
Socially responsible initiative Sustainability index gives local companies an opportunity to assess their achievements by the internationally accepted criteria, and also receive professional consultation on what improvements have to be done in the future. Each year the most responsible companies are assessed on a matter of strategic planning, market relationships, internal and external environment and social entrepreneurship. Companies are evaluated in four categories – platinum, gold, silver and bronze.
