Summer School on the Ephemeral Architecture and Urban Design “FestivaL’and 3.0” has begun. The summer school is organized as a cooperation between the RISEBA Faculty of Architecture and Design and Valmiera Summer Theatre festival.

Students of architecture, urban design and related disciplines from all over the world are invited to RISEBA International Summer School on the Ephemeral Architecture and Urban Design – “FestivaL’and 2.0”.

The summer school is organized as cooperation between RISEBA Faculty of Architecture and Design and Valmiera Summer Theatre festival (VVTF).

The group of experts evaluated the full cycle of bachelor's and professional master's programmes of architecture education at RISEBA. Obtained Master's Diploma and professional qualification at RISEBA has gained approval and is compliant with the EU Architects’ Directive 85/384/EEC and the New Qualifications Directive 2005/36/EC. The diplomas received by our graduates will be recognised and approved within the rest of EU/EEZ.

At the end of March, RISEBA architecture students, together with the Dean of the Architecture and Design faculty, architect Jānis Dripe, went on an excursion to the new Hanzas Perons to see how the reconstruction of the former Riga cargo railway station was going, which is turning the site into a multifunctional venue for cultural events.

The grand travelling photo exhibition “Latvian art of building in 100 years”, taking place to mark Latvia’s 100th anniversary and included in the centenary’s calendar of events, is open for visitation at RISEBA Architecture and Media Centre from 16 November 2018 to 31 January 2019.

Public lecture held on March 8, 16.00 in the 1st floor atrium of the National Library of Latvia by architect Francisco Martinez “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” will be a presentation of the process in creating the architecture, the evolution of the architecture project through different phases, from concept until construction, in order to preserve the design ambitions.

Already for fifth year Baltic Architects unions association (BAUA) organized BAUA Awards contest of the best graduation projects of the young architecture students of the Baltic States. This year the jury received 17 projects from 7 universities.  The event took place in Vilnius, 2-3 November. 

On Monday, March 6, 16.00 the opening of the RISEBA University Faculty of Architecture and design (FAD) BA architecture graduate project exhibition RE-CREATION will be held at the National Library of Latvia first floor exhibition hall. Together with the opening the projects catalogue “THE FAD BA Thesis Book. 2017” and the long-awaited school’s yearbook “THE FAD BOOK. The First Five Years of FAD. 2011 – 2016” will be presented.
