ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In order to be admitted to RISEBA University, all students must meet general requirements for studying at RISEBA and the specific requirements for the programme/specialisation you are interested in.

Please note: submitted copies of educational documents (diploma and transcript of records) should be notary attested and translated into English (with exception of documents originally in English and Russian languages).

It is important to check what is required for the programme you are interested in before submitting your online application.

Entry requirements for undergraduate studies

• Valid ID or passport copy (international passport for CIS residents)
• High school completion certificate or diploma + transcript of final school grades (these documents should be translated into English and the translation should be notary attested)
• Proof of chosen study language proficiency

For studies in English: IELTS score 5.5+, TOEFL 59+ or equivalent
Applicants who do not have internationally recognised test score will be requested to pass RISEBA English language test

English language test exemptions:
English as native language
High school education conducted in English

Specific entry requirements:

-Audiovisual Media Arts

Entry requirements for postgraduate studies

• Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to a Latvian Bachelor degree) + transcript of records (these documents should be translated into English and the translation should be notary attested)
• Valid ID or passport copy (international passport for CIS residents)
• CV
• Letter of motivation for the chosen programme
• Proof of chosen study language proficiency

For studies in English: IELTS score 6.0+, TOEFL 78 + or equivalent
Applicants who do not have internationally recognised test score will be requested to pass RISEBA English language test and/or a Skype interview.

English language test exemptions:
English as native language
Bachelor’s degree from a programme conducted completely in English

Entry requirements for doctoral studies

To apply for studies you will need the following documents:

• Bachelor’s Degree Diploma and Master’s Degree Diploma + transcript of records from previous studies (these documents should be translated into English and the translation should be notary attested)
• ID or passport copy
• Proof of English skills: IELTS 6.5+, TOEFL 90+ or equivalent (required to apply for studies in English)  
• A report on the theme of a promotional thesis (up to 10 pages)
• List and copies of research publications if applicable
• Motivation letter
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• 2 identical photographs  (3x4 cm)
