RISEBA Creative Business Incubator launches the 6th season with 11 teams
On 15 October, the RISEBA Creative Business Incubator (RBI) launches its sixth season with 11 teams. The business ideas presented this season will create opportunities for expanding the range of professional support for RBI, as such ideas as e-health, restoration and tourism will be represented for the first time in the Incubator.
For universities, which also offer business incubation services, fall means not only the beginning of the academic year, but also the start of active business incubation season. The RBI will launch its 6th season on 15 October with 11 teams that will develop business ideas in such areas as creative industries, medicine, tourism, education and restoration.
Each year, the RBI expands its range of professional support, as the competition also withstands business ideas that have not been previously represented in the RBI. For example, this year new professionals will be attracted to help develop ideas in the fields of e-health, tourism and restoration.
Last season, we experienced a unique case with a team that developed the idea of electrical engineering, at that time, as the team's main mentor was attracted Andris Dambis (he built OSCar eO vehicle that became the first range-extended electric-drive vehicle to complete the Dakar rally). The RBI team who were consulted by A. Dambis called it "an indescribable contribution to their business development," informs the Head of the RBI, Iveta Cīrule. We would also like to thank RISEBA alumni, who support the RBI both as mentors and as guest lecturers, devoting their time to our teams and students to share their professional experience.
The Head of the RBI reports that the number of teams admitted this year is consistent with the average RBI score. With an average of ten teams each year being given the opportunity to develop their business ideas together with mentors and coaches absolutely free of charge during the incubation season. "If teams need additional services such as project management, accounting or legal advice, we will also arrange this type of assistance," adds Iveta Cīrule.
We look forward to see our teams in action. We would like to remind the teams and other interested parties that during the season the RBI will organize guest lectures on various business-related topics that everyone is welcome to attend.
The RISEBA Creative Business Incubator has been operating since 2013 with the aim of providing RISEBA students and graduates with the opportunity to develop their business, creative and social business ideas.
