Business Management
About
Master's study programme "Business Management" is built on the basis of the development trends of business management in the world and the responsibilities performed by the head of the organization. The study programme is implemented in distance learning, thus giving the opportunity to study in different places and at the most convenient time.
The program provides students with a strategic perspective on enterprise management, in-depth knowledge, skills and skills in business, economic and management issues. Aim of the study programme is to develop students’ in-depth knowledge of business management and, by providing practical application of theoretical insights, to improve the professional competences of a business manager for work in Latvia and abroad.

*60 CP (90 ECTS) – a previously attained professional Bachelor’s education in management, entrepreneurship, economics, finance or a related field and a previously attained Level 5 professional qualification.
**70 CP (105 ECTS) - a previously attained academic profiling or professional Bachelor’s degree in a non-profiling field, which is not related to the study programme’s sector/subject group, i.e. any education, except management, business, economics, finance or in a related field.

Study methods
Studies are implemented in distance learning, which means that students in the e-environment have specially prepared study materials in electronical environment – documents, presentations, video lecture recordings, self-control tests, tasks for learning the topics of study courses and tests. In separate courses, webinars, group work and simulation games are organized. Students carry out analysis of the situation in their own and other enterprises, implement research activities for the development of proposals, develop the ability to make fact-based decisions.
Although students study independently, in order to organize their studies in the university, students take courses of study in a certain order during each semester.
