„Design & urban environment" by professor Francesco SCULLICA

Francesco Scullica (Architect, Ph.D. in Interior Architecture) is Associate Professor in Industrial Design at Design Department Politecnico di Milano, and since 2012 he is the Scientific Director of Master Interior Design- Politecnico di Milano-POLI.design.
He graduated at the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano with a thesis on the Design of the microenvironment and the Design for Users with disabilities.
He has participated and participates as visiting professor in international seminars and activities at some foreign universities, including the Riga Technical University and the Art Academy of Latvia.
Since his Ph.D. in Interior Architecture and Furniture, he started to carry out a research on the tourism/hospitality and design of Hospitality in relation to interior design field, in particular, carrying on the research in this activity.
On the hospitality industry, he organizes and coordinates training courses and workshops on a specific project, participates in jury awards for the design contract, in meetings, conventions, and exhibitions at trade fairs and international conventions, drawing up specific publications on these topics, as well as related to the interior design field.
As for his teaching activities, from the year 2000 he teaches at the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano.
